If you like an action filled book well here it is. I really enjoyed reading False Face because I could connect to it. I felt it was connectable in some ways because Laney and Tom are about the same ages as most of us in grade 7. The people who read this book in my opinion will understand it more if they are younger like me or any other grade 7. Laney had a tough time at home with her mother and sister because she was different then them. In the end she was a lot more like her father than her sister and mother. She had a very out going personality and and I would have to say so am I. Tom was of Indian heritage and had to move to London. Tom got teased a little by some people because he was a different skin colour and that can be hard on a child or anyone for that matter. I interpreted that he was a little protective of the makes because they were Indian heritage and he wanted to be closer to his father because his father passed away. I would rate False Face 6/10. the reasons are i enjoyed the book however I would have liked it to be longer and more descriptive . I read quite a bit so I tend to be very picky of what books I read. In the description I need to feel some connection to the main character and in this case i did. I would suggest this book to other reader and I personally would read it again.
Zen and the art of faking it
As the 2 novel I have read it enjoyed this book. There was some young romance, It was amusing for me to see what a guy thinks when he has a crush. I dont get to see the point of view from a males point so it was interesting to see. This book really tells you that you have to be yourself or there could be consequences. San always tried to fit in to what people wanted him to be, however at the end he had to realize that the only thing he could do was to be himself. Being yourself is the best thing you could be. At this point of our lives there are so many thing social media has told us to be. " you have to be Really smart or you will have no friends" or " you have to be the funnies and out going or you will not succeed in life." some kids have so much pressure on themselves that they feel they have to be different people to be liked. One of the most important things you can do is be youself and at the end thats what San did, and thats what I want everyone else to do. I would rate this book a 6 out of 10. There was description but I like a bigger book.
Log Jam
This was an interesting novel for me. A girl that has just moved away from her home, her friends and a life that she started and now she is expected to be in a new family with her mothers husband. I know what she feels like, When I was younger I have to leave all of my friends and my school. However it ended up being that best thing that has ever happened. I met my best friend, I have had amazing teachers for most of elementary school and now I am sitting here typing, talking to you. This book was very interesting for me because I could connect to how she was feeling inside. In the forest the men she was with treated her and her mother differently and she does not do well with that. The author really described the the background of the story and I felt I was there with her. This author did not just tell a story they help the reader live it too. I would rate it a 6 out of 10 because as much as I appreciated the description I would have liked more description on what happened at the end. In my opinion they would jump from one idea to the other without tying up lose ends. Over all I enjoyed the book and would suggest it to readers who are just looking for a quick read and want a good book. If you have anymore questions about the book feel free to ask if you see me.
Cinder (book club)
Cinder was definitely a really great book. All of my favorite components were there. It had romance, action, mystery which in my opinion makes it worth reading. Cinder was really all about finding yourself. She had to go through the hard part of life and scratch and tinker with who she wanted to be, not what title she had. In all books I read I always appreciate when there is both pov's (point of view). It really helps the reader to know what is going on. It shows what they are both thinking and feeling to really understand both characters. While I was reading I made assumptions and predictions. I think any hardcore reader does this to make it interesting. It was A fun book to read however I think someone who has a higher level of reading would enjoy this more. There are 3 more books in this series and I look forward to reading them.
